About Me
Hi, I’m Kaylee — Little Gun Woman
I’m a young Indigenous woman based in Alberta, originally from Beaver Lake Cree Nation (Cree/Dene). My grandmother hailed from Fort Chipewyan, and her stories, culture, and teachings have always shaped the way I see the world — and the way I create art.
I’ve had a lifelong love for art. Some of my earliest memories are sitting at the kitchen table with my dad, drawing together. Those moments ignited a passion that has stayed with me my entire life.
For over four years, I’ve honed my skills in digital art and graphic design, creating Blackfoot graphic novels, journals, and custom hand-printed apparel. I’ve worked closely with the Urban Society of Aboriginal Youth (USAY) and have collaborated with the Blackfoot community to bring meaningful, culturally-rooted visual storytelling to life — even as I honor my own Beaver Lake Cree roots.
My Vision
At SMUDJ Graphics, my vision is to use visual art and hand-printed clothing to build connection and community, while showing other young artists that their voices, stories, and creativity matter. I aim to inspire, mentor, and lead by example, encouraging others to pursue their passion and bring their own stories to life through art.
